We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our new reception. (the reception is still under construction and will most likely be ready by mid-September) As a receptionist you are responsible for receiving visitors, registering the patients, answering the telephone and keeping the reception presentable. Every year almost 6000 birds are brought to the Bird Hospital, all of these birds are registered in our administration system. In addition, there are daily visitors and we are regularly called with questions. As a receptionist you are the calling card of the Bird Hospital and you ensure that the flow of patients, visitors and phone calls is handled correctly.
Working hours: at least half a day in the week or a whole day in the two weeks.
Special Conditions: good knowledge of the Dutch language in speech and writing, customer-friendly, stress-resistant, experience with Word and Excel
Training method and guidance: You will be trained by one of our regular employees. After that there is always a permanent employee present for further guidance

The work is being carried out for Stichting Vogelopvangcentrum Midden Nederland. The bird hospital provides as much assistance as possible to and cares for wild birds that are no longer able to take care of themselves for longer due to illness, an accident or hunger. After the birds have been declared healthy, they are released again. Depending on the state they are in, euthanasia will be applied to birds that cannot be rehabilitated, or they will be given a second home. Exceptionally, specimens remain in the bird hospital forever.
Activities
The region in which the Bird Reception Center functions is broadly indicated by the area between the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, the Eem and the process boundary with Utrecht, but also Flevoland, the Noordoostpolder, the Randmeren area and part of the Noord Veluwe are part of the catchment area.
