FamilyBuddy for single-parent families in Stichtse Vecht

The GezinsBuddy Foundation is growing in Stichtse Vecht, so there is much more beautiful and rewarding work to be done! We use volunteers to support single-parent families that face multiple problems and have a small network.

You determine the help you can and want to offer. This can for example be practical help in and around the house, offering a listening ear, companionship, undertaking social activities together, helping to expand the network and/or relieving the parent's burden by playing with the children, etc. It is already helpful if you are structurally have a few hours available to support them in a difficult period. Thanks to your support, the families really feel seen and heard, because you are there for them. Experience shows that it will also enrich your life and that makes it twice as valuable!

As a Foundation, we find it important that despite the fact that we provide volunteer work, we approach this professionally. That is why we meet one or more times after registration to get to know each other better. In any case, you have a certificate of good conduct and you are available for emergencies. We try to match you as well as possible to the person requesting help, e.g. based on your (life) experiences, interests and place of residence.

Of course you do not have to bear the responsibility alone. We have a close-knit team of buddies who meet each other regularly (including through intervision and counseling conversations) and where you as a buddy get your support from. There are also a number of professionals within the foundation that you can always turn to.
