What is expected of you

You are 18 or older.

You have a valid extended first aid certificate from the Red Cross or a comparable certificate. If you do not have a first aid certificate, then you are prepared to obtain the diploma or you have at least a medical background where we can further determine what additional training may be required.

You are willing to devote yourself at least 50 hours per year to first aid for the Red Cross. This may seem like a lot, but in practice this is not so bad.

You are stress resistant and have resilience.

You are someone who takes immediate action when something happens and you are not afraid to take responsibility.

You can listen carefully and respond to victims' needs.

You are a real team player, flexible and strong in communication.

You can work independently or under supervision.

What can you expect from us

As a First Aid Provider you will perform meaningful and responsible volunteer work. And that while you are present at all kinds of special, large or small deployments within - and if you wish, also outside - your own municipality or region. The Red Cross provides education and training and you get plenty of opportunities to increase your expertise and develop your talents. During the performance of your task, you will be provided with Red Cross materials and clothing, and you are insured through the Red Cross. The Red Cross reimburses travel and expenses incurred.
