Volunteer Coordinator

The Quiet Community in Maastricht wants to generate attention for (silent) poverty by telling stories, by alleviating poverty with free offers for members (households in poverty) and by offering members the opportunity to use their talents. We receive help from local sponsors who selflessly make their services and / or products available. We do this with a team of passionate volunteers, a project leader and a board.

We started in October 2017 and now reach approximately 300 members and their families.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (voluntary)

As a volunteer coordinator, your primary task is to provide enough volunteers. This means that you determine in consultation in which team support is needed.

In addition, it is your responsibility to recruit volunteers. You familiarize the volunteers with the do's and don'ts of Quiet Maastricht.

What does Quiet expect from you?

• You organize the recruitment and selection of volunteers and keep the volunteer administration up to date.
• You ensure that volunteers are properly trained and you hold regular evaluation interviews.
• You provide practical support in the organization of activities and events.

Who are you?

You are a positive person. You communicate well and easily (both orally and in writing). You are good with people and know how to quickly put the new volunteer at ease.

What do we offer?

As a volunteer coordinator you will end up in an organization that knows how to value volunteers. And in which everyone is committed with heart and soul for the members and the sponsors. Helping each other is part of it, because we have to get a lot done with few people. As a result, no two days are the same and you have many opportunities and possibilities to strengthen our organization across the board.

The position is for approximately 12 hours per week, preferably spread over three days.
