Do you enjoy making music and would you like to share your knowledge and experience with our clients? then read on!
Several residents of Het Hietveld in Beekbergen (Pluryn) would like to do something with music in their spare time. There is currently no possibility for this on the Hietveld. Music is an important source of relaxation and release for many residents.
In addition, we would like to introduce you to the music therapeutic processes initiated by the music therapist. In this way you could contribute to a good transfer of therapy to daily life.
Our residents are passionate about making music and some are particularly musically skilled. A strong bond can develop when you make music together. Music is often one of the most important aspects of life for them and that means that you as a volunteer provide an important moment during the week.
You have an entire music room at your disposal with 2 drum sets, various guitars, a piano, djembes, congas, computer, recording equipment and various small instruments. So you don't have to bring anything with you.
What are you allowed to do?
Making music individually with various residents of the Hietveld, this happens on our site in Beekbergen.
Days and times are entirely in consultation, according to your options.
What are you bringing?
- You have a good foundation on guitar and/or piano,
- You have a good foundation on a rhythm instrument (e.g. drums or djembe)
- You have knowledge of producing music via the computer (building beats, recording music). The program available at the Hietveld is Magix Music Maker. If you prefer to work with a different program, this can be discussed,
- You have good social and communication skills,
- You are strong in your shoes,
- You have experience or affinity with our target group. (young) adults and elderly people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and intensive care needs, complex behavioral and additional psychiatric problems)
Our volunteers do not incur any costs. We are very happy with a (long-term) investment of time.
A good command of the Dutch language is a strict requirement.
