Detailed description
We're now active in 14 cities and visit hundreds of seniors across the Netherlands every week. Our goal is to make as many seniors as possible happy, and you can help us achieve that! We're currently organizing various activities throughout the Netherlands every week.
Cooking days
During our traditional, friendly Cooking Days, we spend an afternoon making soup with seniors at community centers or daycare centers, and eating it together. We use vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away. The Cooking Days are held at various locations and last about 2-3 hours. An afternoon filled with board games, plenty of tall tales, even more jokes... and, of course, delicious soup.
Soup-at-home days
With our Soup-at-Home Days, we reach the elderly who need company the most. Every week, our volunteers deliver bags filled with our delicious soup, along with a motivational card and a surprise, to elderly people in your neighborhood. It's all about visiting and having a chat. Soup-at-Home Days are organized weekly from a fixed location, and participation lasts approximately 2-3 hours. Your smile, friendly chat, or brief moment of connection can make a world of difference for our elderly.

About Oma's Soep - Tilburg
Oma's Soep sells delicious fresh soups and meals based on grandma's authentic recipe. The proceeds are used to make lonely elderly people happy! At least 50% of the profits from Oma's Soep are donated to the Oma's Soep Foundation. The Foundation organizes weekly activities in various cities throughout the country where young and old are brought together to combat loneliness. Locally, our student boards organize weekly Cooking Days and Soup-at-home days and nationally we organize major events and PR campaigns.
