Q&A with the grey: long may your life lessons last
Fact or fiction? An onion under your foot against fever and toothpaste on a mosquito bite, every culture has its own typical 'grandmother's tips'. Life lessons that have been passed down from generation to generation. In the run-up to the festival, we are collecting as many of these tips as possible: where were they ever thought up and, most importantly, do they really work?
The Mariënburgkapel is a place this afternoon where young and old can get to know each other (better) and play old Dutch games. For example, bring your grandpa or grandma, or meet seniors as a student via Oma's Soep! Appearances can be deceiving, but not when it comes to staying involved in society. That is also the focus of this activity!

Oma's Soep sells delicious fresh soups and meals based on grandma's authentic recipe. The proceeds are used to make lonely elderly people happy! At least 50% of the profits from Oma's Soep are donated to the Oma's Soep Foundation. The Foundation organizes weekly activities in various cities throughout the country where young and old are brought together to combat loneliness. Locally, our student boards organize weekly Cooking Days and Soup-at-home days and nationally we organize major events and PR campaigns.
