Care volunteers wanted / practical support

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the Westelijke Mijnstreek, Central Limburg, Parkstad and Maastricht-Heuvelland regions.

Are you someone who likes a challenge, is patient, can take initiative and is open to people who can be “different”? Then becoming a volunteer at Levantogroep Volunteers might be something for you!

We are looking for people who, as a care volunteer, want to offer practical support to a person with a psychiatric background.

It is about support for small tasks. For example, as a care volunteer you go shopping with someone or you provide transport/guidance to/at a doctor's visit.

Other possibilities are, for example: teaching computer skills, support with simple administrative tasks or support with simple household tasks.

It is a 1-to-1 contact.

You do not need to be an expert in psychiatry. You offer support, but it is not assistance. What matters is that there is contact from person to person and that you can help someone on their way.

How long the contact lasts or how often you go to someone depends on the request for help. This is a temporary contact.
