What are you going to do
For an outpatient client we are looking for a calm, humorous and 'solid' personality, preferably a man. You become a buddy of our client and see the client for a number of hours every week.
Our client is a man who lives independently with his partner. The gentleman wants everything but can't get around to it himself. He would like a buddy who motivates and supports him in taking on practical matters, such as cleaning up/sorting things out, visiting a football club and so on. The main intention is that the buddy does not take over matters, but rather makes a kind of connection/maps out the way for the gentleman and activates and supports him in this way. Humor should and cannot be missing.
This is you
You are open in life. You like to 'just' let what happens happen and can respond to the needs of the person on the spot.
You can empathize with others without judgment. You are reliable and you are able to have a nice contact with Mr. You know how to activate and enthuse him in a natural way. If necessary, you can also be clear and clearly indicate your boundaries.
Where do we go from here
After your registration, there will be an introductory meeting where we would like to hear from you who you are, what your hobbies are and what makes you happy. If we think we can do something for each other, we will plan a matching meeting where you will meet Mr.
If there is a click, a mutual trial period of 4 weeks follows. If approved, we will continue with the buddy process; In principle, a buddy program lasts 1 year.
Then we'll look further.

IrisZorg is there for young and old and for all layers of the population. We are there for people who have problems in the field of finances, relationships, work or (mental) health. Usually in combination with an addiction and/or (imminent) homelessness. We support clients towards recovery from integral addiction treatment and social counseling. We can use your help as a volunteer with that.
As a volunteer at IrisZorg you make meaningful contact with people with a vulnerable and special background. We see the people behind the addiction, homelessness and other problems. Everyone has their own story. Do you want to support people to get a better grip on their lives? Are you the bridge to the outside world for them, so that they can participate in society again?
