Nature Bits are short-term learning and work experiences for 18 to 30 year olds. A Nature Bit is filled with varied inspiring activities, such as training, nature work and assignments. All to broaden your knowledge and skills and to gain an unforgettable experience, all at a beautiful location in nature.

Nature coaches

Would you like to learn how you can activate your environment to look at nature in a different way? We want to work on that during the very first Nature Bit. We want to give the growing group of young adults who want to dedicate themselves to nature tools to make an impact in their environment. We are working together on the idea of 'nature coaches.' In our view, 'nature coaches' stimulate their environment to look at nature in an active, creative and inspiring way and to ask stimulating questions. Under the guidance of experts, you will acquire new (natural) knowledge, discover how to coach others well and learn to look at nature in a different way.

On November 22, we will immerse ourselves in 't Goois nature reserve for a day. The day will be about nitrogen and biodiversity; two important topics in this area. The nitrogen problem has been in the news a lot lately, but do you actually know what effect nitrogen has on biodiversity? We will then start using our new knowledge and look for inspiring ways to take others along in Dutch nature as a 'nature coach'. Maybe you yourself become a nature coach in your area? Or do you pass on stories to your friends and family?

Conditions

• You are between 18-30 years old
• You are enthusiastic and motivated to dedicate yourself to the project for a day

Practical information

• It will take place on November 22, 2020
• The program will start at 10.30 am in the Laer (10.15 am walk-in), in 't Goois Nature Reserve and will end before 6.00 pm.
• The location is best reached by (OV) bicycle.
• The program has been adapted to the latest guidelines from the RIVM regarding corona. For example, we do not go out with more than 4 people at the same time and everything happens at a distance of 1.5 meters.

• After your registration you will be contacted by telephone
• Space is limited, so we may have to select. In connection with corona, with this Nature Bit we give priority to people who live closer to the location and therefore have to travel as little as possible by public transport
