Detailed description
Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) Sint Maarten, invites people interested in becoming volunteer hike leaders to participate in a two-hour training session this Sunday April 3rd, 9 – 11 a.m. at the SFC/R4CR office (the old WIB branch) on AT Illidge Road.
The training is free and open to anyone who would like to become a volunteer hike guide for EPIC’s free monthly hikes. The training can also serve as an introduction for those interested in a career in nature tour guiding or education.
EPIC leads a free hike for the public to enjoy on the first Sunday of every month. Although these hikes regretfully were canceled for almost two years due to Covid-19, they can now resume. EPIC is therefore looking for additional new guides to join the small team of volunteer hike leaders.
Come out to EPIC’s hike guide training to learn the routes as well as the nature and history that surrounds them. This is a great opportunity to share your love for the outdoors with your fellow hikers.
