By phone, chat or email you are there for those who want to vent their hearts anonymously. You do this at a time and place that suits you.
Anne, volunteer for five years:
“The conversations can be intense; people often call to talk about loneliness, mental health issues or difficult relationships. But what you get in return is priceless: you really help someone, just by listening.”
What do we ask of you?
- An open and empathetic attitude;
- No specific prior education;
- Average availability of 4 hours per week (flexible);
- Willingness to work a 2-hour night shift twice a month
- Participation in a (free) training near you.
