Volunteers wanted

People can get a story with you, anonymously and safely. They feel heard, supported by your listening ear and sometimes even gain insight into a problem or question. As a volunteer at the Luisterlijn you are part of a national team that ensures day and night accessibility of the Luisterlijn. People can go by phone, email or chat for an anonymous, confidential conversation in case of problems, sadness or worries. There is a great need for this attention, volunteers of the Luisterlijn conduct about 350,000 conversations per year.

You become an expert discussion partner through good training and guidance. Volunteering that makes you a wiser person!

Beforehand, there is an introductory meeting in which the lifestyle, attitude to life, motivation and whether the work suits someone.

Previous education or work experience is not required. It is important that you have room in your head, heart and agenda to do this work. It is also important that you are eager to learn, have an open attitude and are interested in others.

You work 1 shift per week of 4 hours, including a night shift once a month and you receive a travel allowance
