Volunteers Youth & Money
Youth & Money South Limburg is there for young people who need more knowledge about administration and finances and for young people who do not have sufficient skills to build and maintain a healthy financial situation. By providing the right tools, young people become more confident about their financial skills and can grow into financially self-reliant young adults. Our volunteers offer young people free, accessible one-on-one support with their financial administration and teach them how to handle their own financial affairs.
As a volunteer…
· are you a young person's buddy, especially in the financial field;
· you support the young person in getting their administration in order;
· you support the young person in making income and expenditure clear;
· give you tips and advice to balance income and expenditure and keep it in balance;
· you teach the young person skills that he/she can use to manage financial matters independently.
What do we ask:
· you are at least eighteen years old and young at heart;
· you get along well with young people;
· you enjoy working within the theme of money matters;
· you can properly monitor the confidential information about the participant;
· you like to think in terms of solutions and have a positive attitude;
· you can support and advise young people;
· you have sufficient social skills;
· you have a good command of the Dutch language;
· You have time to support a young person for approximately one year for 1 to 2 hours per week with his or her administration and financial matters;
· You can submit a Certificate of Good Conduct.
What do you get in return?
· Challenging and interesting work in your spare time;
· Mandatory basic training and specialization training so that you can be well prepared to work as a buddy for a young person in need of financial support;
· The opportunity to learn new skills through (additional) training;
· Professional guidance, always someone to fall back on;
· Accident and third party insurance;
· Travel and expense allowance.
