Ronald (64) is looking for fun at the weekend

With the vacancies we post here, we make sure that the client and the volunteer can act according to the RIVM corona guidelines. Being able to keep a distance of 1.5 meters is one of the most important conditions now.

Ronald is a friendly, cheerful man with an intellectual disability. He lives alone and needs a little more socializing and contact, but due to his disability this is difficult for him to arrange. He can have a nice conversation with you and he is crazy about Ajax. He has a season ticket and normally he can be found with them once every two weeks. He must miss that now.

Ronald is a good walker, has a scooter and likes to have fun. So if you have humor, some patience and occasionally time at the weekend, Ronald will be happy to go into town with you (many shops are also closed) or for a walk.

Volunteer work at Sherpa was not possible for a long time due to corona. Now that can be picked up again and Ronald is again eager to do something. As long as Ajax is not just playing at home yet, outings are really very welcome.

Volunteers are indispensable. We realize that very well. That is why Sherpa wants to take good care of the volunteer. There will be an introduction to see if this volunteer vacancy suits you. If you decide to assist us with this, you will work with an enthusiastic team of supervisors.

You will be asked for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We take care of the application for you free of charge.

Every volunteer is insured during the execution of the work and you will of course receive a reimbursement for your travel costs. A party evening for volunteers is organized once every two years. Of course you will receive a Christmas package and the Sherpa magazine twice a year.
