About Amnesty International werkgroep Lochem

Human rights are being violated worldwide. People are tortured for speaking up. Beat up for being gay. Disadvantaged because they are women. Sentenced to death or without due process. Peaceful protesters disappear behind bars.
Amnesty investigates the injustice and makes it visible to the world. We do this through reports, press releases, lobby, promotions and campaigns. For example, governments and companies are pressured to stop violations, release victims or change their policies. In addition, Amnesty supports local organizations and activists who defend human rights in their country.
