If you want to play a part in the development of affordable education, women entrepreneurship and microloans in one of the poorest countries in the world, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for a hands-on, committed and self-starting volunteer to coordinate our communications and marketing activities. You’ll work with our team of remote volunteers and local staff to help us share our work, engage our supporters, and grow our impact.

What you'll do

Develop and implement a simple communications plan
Write our newsletter (3-4 per year)
Work with existing volunteers for social media
Ensure messaging is consistent and communications go out on time. Or jump right in and lead!
Support our team in Liberia with: marketing materials (e.g. flyers for the school), Facebook ad campaigns (targeted locally)
Write short updates for our website (ideally twice per month)
And any other great ideas that you come up with!

Some examples of what we do

Our microloan & entrepreneurship programme helps 220+ women every month to grow businesses and increase their income. Leading to financial security, better education for children and improved health.
Our school offers affordable, private education from nursery through Grade 9 (US system). Over 50% of our almost 400 students are girls. Our tailored Art Education programme builds creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving.
We organise an annual Forum with the Ministry of Gender to address gender-based violence (GBV) and support victims.
Our school gardening project teaches students how to grow their own food and inspires parents to do the same.

Who we're looking for

You have:

Several years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
Strong writing and coordination skills
A proactive, self-starting mindset
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and volunteers

You're passionate about supporting people in places where opportunities are few and challenges are many. You enjoy both strategic thinking and hands-on work, and you're not afraid to take initiative.

You're also comfortable working in a small, international team that is mostly remote.

Languages: Good English required. Dutch is a strong plus, as some of our donor communication happens in Dutch.

Time commitment: flexible, we estimate 4-8 hours per month. Duration is flexible too!
